The focus will provide students with opportunities to challenge negative attitudes and understandings about how situations, not individuals with dementia, are the cause of expressed distress.

The content will focus on: contextualising palliative care; the trajectory of severe dementia; promoting physical care and quality of life for the person with severe dementia; and promoting a positive culture of care.
- ‘Decision Making in Dementia Care’
